Ok guys, I’ve found some time to write since our power’s down at work and they let us go home. So, let’s start with some facts. I got these from the book, Justice Awakening by Eddie Byun. One fact is from Not For Sale by David Batstone.  I’ve read them both and they are great books.Every eight seconds someone is sold into slavery. Up to 30 million people are in slavery around the world. The U.S. State Department estimates that there are 600,000 to 800,000 children, women and men trafficked across international borders annually. 80% are for sex trafficking.  I’m just going to let those facts sink in. PEOPLE! This is why I’m so passionate about this cause! People are using their lust and greed to justify using others as objects; a means to an end; a commodity just like any other product!! We are not products! We are people! NO ONE should ever belong to another person! No one should ever be viewed as property to be sold! And in some countries, the governments just look the other way. Even in the U.S., there needs to be more in place in the government to protect these people. These targeted people. So, who are these targeted people and what can we do to help them?
