So this blog is mostly about my passion to eradicate human trafficking, however, today I’d like to talk about my other passion in life, my sweet angel of a niece, Makayla! She is to most, just your typical teenager. Loves Harley Quinn, Batman, makeup, and animals. Loves spending time with her friends and family, etc. To me, she is everything! She stayed with me this weekend and I haven’t laughed so hard, had so much fun or felt so much love in a long time! The two of us have a special bond that no one can duplicate. I cherish it and thank God for it. Her beauty is perfect, but her big heart, strength and perseverance are second to none. When I think about what the future holds for her, I am both scared for her and excited because I know she will have more challenges than most, but I also know that she has what she needs to get through it. I am so proud of the young lady she has become and this weekend I spent most of the weekend letting her know I will always be there for her. There are so many hard things in life kids have to go through and so many things to protect them from. That is why I have my second passion. I want to make this world safer for beautiful, perfect young girls, like my sweet Makayla. Every day life is hard enough. They need soldiers out there fighting the demons they shouldn’t even know exists. That’s what I intend to do and my time with my sweet baby this weekend has made me put on my warrior paint, give my war shout and fight the good fight!
