This past Sunday, our pastor was speaking on talking out loud to God. Speaking your prayers out loud. How is isn’t for everyone, but it does give some urgency to your prayers, makes it feel more real, like you are actually having a conversation with God rather than thinking thoughts inside your head and makes it more intentional. It can bring you in closer relationship with God to speak to him out loud to start your day. Tell him good morning, let him know you love Him for all He has done and is going to do and bring your cares to Him out loud. It puts passion in your prayer life. This really spoke to me as I feel this has been my learning period with God. I know what my passion is and I want to run with it, but He is humbling me and showing me that I need Him every step of the way to teach me and to show me the way. I’m not going to get anywhere on my own strength, but only through His strength and in His time. So if my passion really is my PASSION, and it is, I will call out to Him out loud in prayer every day and listen to His voice as he speaks back to me. I need to be more intentional about this if I am going to have a closer relationship with God and do his work of freeing His people!!
